My research advisor is Dan Nakano. I am currently working on Second Cohomology Groups of Frobenius Kernels. This is all done for p bigger than 3, so I am investigating what happens when p=2.
Here are some research groups I have participated in.
- In Fall 2002 and Spring 2003, I worked with Dave Hemmer studying Alperin's Weight Conjecture.
- I have recently been working (since Spring 2004) with Dave Benson, Brian Boe, Leonard Chastkofsky, and Dan Nakano on doing calculations in Algebra. In the Spring and Summer of 2004 we worked on understanding conjugacy classes via the use of cohomology and representation theory. While I have been a part of the group, we have written 2 papers: One is to appear in J. Algebra, and the other one has been submitted. In Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 we have been working with support varieties for symmetric groups and Lie algebras.
