Note: This syllabus will probably change during the semester.

Course Objective: This course will use MAPLE to supplement the material covered in MATH 2200: Differential Calculus.

**NOTICE: MATH2200L is a co-requisite to MATH2200. If you take one, take both. If you drop one, drop both. Oasis does NOT automatically drop you from MATH2200 when you drop MATH 2200L, nor does it drop you from MATH2200L if you drop MATH2200. Do both manually.**

A note on saving work: There are many options to use to save your work, such as floppy disks, USB flash drives, or emailing your work to yourself as an attachment. It is highly recommended that you use at least 2 distinct methods to save your work.

Academic Honesty: Please don't cheat or even look like you're cheating. I am obligated to report anything that I think even might be cheating. Students are encouraged to work together on projects, but you must write the projects up on your own, in your own words. Attendence: Students are expected to attend all labs. Missing more than 2 labs will cause you to lose your attendance points (see below). Attendence will be taken each class. If extreme circumstances occur, please notify me by email.

Submitting Labs and Grading: Labs will be submitted to me printed on paper. Each lab is due at the beginning of class when we start the next one. For example, Intro to Maple I is due on January 23 at the beginning of class, when the schedule says Intro to Maple II.

The class will be graded on 200 points. Intro to Maple I, Intro to Maple II, and Intro to Limits Problems will be worth 15 points each. All other labs are worth 25 points, adding up to 170. 20 points will be attendance. Miss more than 2 labs and it goes away. You get the last 10 points for reading this entire syllabus and emailing me at the address above with your name, major, favorite book, and something interesting about yourself.
