Grading:

Homework: You will be assigned homework from each section as we finish them. These are due at the begining of class two class periods later. For example homework assigned on 8/19 will be due on 8/26. Homework should be stapled together. Write on only one side of the paper. These do not need to be typed. NO LATE HOMEWORK will be accepted for any reason whatsoever. However I do accept homework that is turned in early. Your lowest homework grade will be dropped. The points that an assignment is worth will vary depending on the number of problems and their difficulty. I strongly encourage you to ask for help if you have trouble on the homework. Homework will be worth 20% of your grade.

Reading: Reading the sections for the day ahead of time is required. If you do not do the reading, you will have difficulty participating in the class discussions. For example when you come to class on 8/21, you should have already read sections 12.2 and 12.3.

Projects: There will be 4 projects, one for each unit. The details of each project will be given to you as they are assigned. Each project will be worth 20% of your grade.

Exams - There are none. No quizzes either.

Final - Nope, none of these either.

Cell Phone/Pager Policy: All cell phones and pagers must be turned off. Any cell phone or pager that rings during class will be taken away and not returned until the end of the following class.

Academic Honesty: We will follow the University academic honesty policy. It can be found online at http://www.uga.edu/ovpi/academic_honesty/culture_honesty.htm
