Week 5:

Due Monday, Sept 13: Read section 3.5 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Friday): problems 5 and 8 on page 102.

Due Wednesday, Sept 15: Read sections 4.1 and 4.2 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Friday): problem 2 on page 119.

Due Friday, Sept 17: Hand in: problems 5 and 8 on page 102, problem 2 on page 119, and problem 7 on page 120.

Week 6:

Due Monday, Sept 20: Hand in the homework that was due on Friday.

Due Wednesday, Sept 22: Read section 4.3 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problems 5 and 8 on pages 129, 130.

Friday, Sept 24: TEST The test will consist mainly of problems similar to practice problems, class activity problems, and homework problems from chapter chapter 1, chapter 2 (from section 2.2 onwards), chapter 3 and sections 4.1 - 4.3. Remember that answers to the practice problems are in the book. To study for the test, start by doing all the practice problems and checking your answers.
