Due Monday, Oct 11: Read sections 5.2 - 5.4 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Friday): problem 7 on page 172.

Due Wednesday, Oct 13: Read sections 5.5 and 5.6 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Friday): problem 2 on page 185.

Due Friday, Oct 15: Read section 5.7 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problem 7 on page 172, problem 2 on page 185 (this problem will be due next Wednesday 10/20 instead of Friday: problem 7 on page 196).

Week 10:

Due Monday, Oct 18: Read section 5.7 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Friday): problem 7 on page 196.

Due Wednesday, Oct 20: Read section 5.8 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Friday): problem 1 on page 204. Office hours today moved to 12:30 - 1:30 pm.

Due Friday, Oct 22: Read section 5.9 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problem 7 on page 196, problem 1 on page 204, and problem 4 on page 205. The test has been moved to Monday, October 25. It will cover sections 4.5, 4.6, and 5.1 - 5.8.
