Week 3:

Due Monday, January 26: Read section 3.2 to page 124. Hand in: problems 16, 17 on page 118 and problem 1 on page 134. Remember to explain your answers in such a way as to teach someone. Recall the grading criteria:

Due Wednesday, January 28: You may hand in Monday's homework on Wednesday. Please do Activity 3H, 1 - 4 if you missed class. Read the rest of section 3.2 and do the practice problems in that section. Hand in problems 6 and 11 on pages 136, 137. Remember to explain your answers in such a way as to teach someone. Recall the grading criteria that are copied above.

By the way: the winter issue of American Educator has some interesting articles on behavior management and an article about the importance of units.

Week 4:

Due Monday, February 2: Read section 3.3 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problems 26 and 27 on pages 139, 140 and problem 4 on page 153.

Due Wednesday, February 4: Hand in problem 9 on pages 153, 154; solve the problem in a way that a child in elementary school might be able to. Also hand in problem 16 n pages 155, 156.
