Week 7:

Due Tuesday, February 24: Read sections 8.3 and 8.4, do the exercises in section 8.3 and exercises 1 - 3 of section 8.4. Hand in problems 1 and 3 on pages 131, 132 and problem 2 on page 152.

Due Thursday, February 26: Do the rest of the exercises in section 8.4. Hand in problem 1 on page 151, 152 and problem 5 on page 153.

Week 8:

Due Tuesday, March 2: Study for the test on Thursday -- please see the problem list links below. Redo the homework from February 17: problems 2 and 3 on page 105. Also hand in: Use rotations to explain why slopes of perpendicular lines are related the way they are.

Due Thursday, March 4: test. The test will consist of problems that are similar to the following: chapter 7 problem list in addition to the following problems: exercise 5, page 25 (same as class activity 7L), exercise 2, page 55 (see activity 7U) and: use the parallel postulate to explain why the sum of the angles in a triangle must always be 180 degrees (see activity 7T); chapter 8 problem list .
