Week 11:

Due Tuesday, November 1: Read section 5.8 and do the practice problems. To be handed in on Thursday: problems 4 and 5 on page 205, 206.

Due Thursday, November 3: Read section 5.9 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problems 4 and 5 on page 205, 206 and problem 7 on page 217. In part d of problem 7, relate the equations to the standard algorithm as well as to the partial-products algorithm.

Week 12:

Due Tuesday, November 8: Read section 6.1 and do the practice problems. To be handed in on Thursday: Problems 6 and 8 on page 226.

Due Thursday, November 10: Read sections 6.2 and 6.3 and do the practice problems. Hand in: Problems 4, 6, and 8 on page 226. Begin to study for the test on Tuesday 11/15. Bring questions to class and office hours.
