Due Monday, November 28: Read section 12.5 and do the practice problems.
Due Wednesday, November 30: We will meet in room 116 Aderhold. Those who would like to participate in the voluntary study before class(and receive $25) should arrive at 11 am. Hand in: problems 6 and 9 on page 569 and problem 11 on page 570.

Week 16:
Due Monday, December 5: If you haven't done so yet, please fill out the anonymous online course evaluation at http://eval.franklin.uga.edu Read section 12.6 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problems 3 and 6 on page 580.
Due Tuesday, December 6: (classes operate on a Friday schedule) Nothing to turn in.
Due Wednesday, December 7: Nothing to turn in. Bring questions to class. Final exam covers all the material we studied this semester: Section 7.6, additional material from handouts and class discussions on ratio and proportion, and material from section 14.1 (using samples, including "capture-recapture", activity 14D); chapter 13, and additional material: solving equations involving absolute value (handout), drawing graphs of functions (quiz and test problems), deriving the equation of a line via similar triangles created by lines crossing parallel lines; chapter 12, including material discussed in class that is not in the book, such as the "slide method" for finding GCF and LCM and finding GCF and LCM using prime factorizations.
Friday, December 9: reading day
Office hours: Friday, December 9, 10:30 - 11:30; Monday, December 12, 10 am - 11 am; and Tuesday, December 13 10 am - 11 am. You are also welcome to make an appointment for another time.
Final exam: 12 noon - 3 pm, Wednesday, December 14, in our usual classroom.
