MATH 7030 students only: to get graduate credit you will need to do an extra project for this course. Your project could consist of several essays, or a longer paper, in which you discuss some aspect of the course material in depth, or in which you relate the course material to your future teaching (e.g., with a discussion of lesson plans). However, other creative ideas could also be acceptable. For example, you might think of a creative way to tie your course project for this course to something you will be doing for one of your other courses. Please start to brainstorm ideas for your course project. Project proposals (a brief description of what you plan to do) are due Thursday, February 3. Projects are due on Tuesday, April 26.

I will calculate your course score as follows:

term tests, 15% each 30%
quizzes 15%
class participation (see criteria under class work on the course information page) 2%
homework 15%
project 8%
final exam 30%
