MATH 7020 students only: to get graduate credit you will need to do an extra project for this course. Your project could consist of several essays, or a longer paper, in which you discuss some aspect of the course material in depth, or in which you relate the course material to your future teaching (e.g., with a discussion of lesson plans). However, other creative ideas could also be acceptable. For example, you might think of a creative way to tie your course project for this course to something you will be doing for one of your other courses. Please start to brainstorm ideas for your course project. Project proposals (a brief description of what you plan to do) are due September 12. Projects are due on November 30 (the next to last day of class).

I will calculate your course score as follows:

term tests, 20% each 40%
quizes 18%
class participation (see criteria under class work on the course information page) 2%
homework 11%
project 4%
final exam 25%
