Week 5:

Due Tuesday, September 19 : Do but don't hand in: problems 3, 4, 5 on page 140 and problem 18 on page 103. Hand in: problems 10 and 11 on pages 140, 141 and problem 17 on page 103.

Due Thursday, September 21 : Read sections 4.3 and 4.4 and do the practice problems. Also do but don't hand in: problems 4 - 6, 8 - 10, and 13, 14 on pages 129, 130.

Week 6:

Due Tuesday, September 26 : TEST on the material we have covered so far: chapters 2 and 3 and sections 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5, including additional class handouts. Test problems will be similar to class activity problems and homework problems (including/especially practice problems and other "don't hand in" problems).
