Due Tuesday, October 3 : Read section 5.1 and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: problems 1, 5, 11 on pages 165, 166. Hand in: problems 3 and 9 on page 165, 166.

Due Thursday, October 5 : Read sections 5.2 and 5.3 and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: problem 3 on page 169, and problems 2 - 4 on page 172.

Week 8:

Due Tuesday, October 10 : Read sections 5.4 and 5.5 and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: problems 2 - 4 on page 176 and problems 1 - 4 on page 179. Hand in: problem 7 on page 172, problem 5 on page 176, and problem 7 on page 180.

Due Thursday, October 12 : Read sections 5.6 and 5.7 and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: problems 3, 4, 6 on pages 186, 187.
