Week 11:

Due Monday, October 30: Read section 12.5 and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: problems 6, 11, and 13 on pages 569, 570.

Due Wednesday, November 1: Study for the test on Friday.

Due Friday, November 3: TEST on sections 13.3 - 13.6, chapter 12 through section 12.5, solving equations versus simplifying expressions, deriving the equation for a line via similar triangles, different forms of equations for lines and their uses, simultaneous linear equations (Singapore textbook handout), the "slide method" for finding GCF and LCM, and other work done in class or assigned for homework related to this material (Sept 15 - Oct 30).

Week 12:

Due Monday, November 6: nothing due

Due Wednesday, November 8: Read section 12.6 to page 575 and do practice problems 2, 5, 6, and 8 on page 578. Also do but don't hand in: problems 1, 2, and 11 on page 580. Hand in: problems 4, 6, and 10 on page 580.

Due Friday, November 10: Read pages 573 - 575 of section 12.6 and do practice problems 1, 3, 4, and 7 on page 578.
