Week 13:
Due Monday, April 10: TEST on the material since the last test: sections 13.2, 13.3, 13.5, addition and subtraction story problems (2/22 handout -- still posted at week 7), and sections 12.1 - 12.5. Test problems will be similar to practice problems, homework problems, and class activity problems.
Due Wednesday, April 12: third part of of field assignment due
Week 14:
Due Monday, April 17: Read sections 14.1 and 14.2 and do the practice problems. Hand in: solve problem 6 on page 651 in two distinctly different ways, also hand in problem 6 on page 663, and the following problem: Examine the NAEP (Nation's Report Card) Long-Term Trend Summary Data on 9-year olds' mathematics performance at http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/ltt/results2004/age_9_math_context.asp Write a paragraph in which you use these data to discuss TV watching and math performance of 9 year olds. Back up your case with two or more data displays.
Due Wednesday, April 19: Nothing due. Start studying for the comprehensive final exam. The final exam problems will be similar to practice problems, homework problems, and class activity problems from throughout the semester. Expect some problems that are similar to test and quiz problems and some problems that are not similar to test and quiz problems.
