Monday, Jan 9: first day of class

Due Wednesday, Jan 11: Read the course website, including all the course policies. Read section 7.4 to the top of page 279 and do practice problem 1 on page 285 (check your answer; no need to turn this in).

MATH 7003 students only: begin to brainstorm ideas for your project.

Week 2:

Monday, January 16: MLK holiday

Due Wednesday, January 18: Begin to plan for your field assignment, which is due April 24. Read the rest of section 7.4 and do the rest of the practice problems (check your answers). Hand in: problems 8, 13, and 19 on pages 289, 290.
