Due Tuesday, October 2 : Read section 4.5 and do the practice problems. Read the chapter 4 summary and study items (skipping section 4.6 for now). Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problems 4, 11, and 15 on pages 174, 175 (consider drawing pictures for problem 15).

Due Thursday, October 4 : Read section 5.1 and do the practice problems. Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problem 4 on page 203.

Week 8:

Due Tuesday, October 9 : Read sections 5.2 and 5.3 and do the practice problems. Also do but don't hand in: problems 7c and 9 on page 214. Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problem 8 on page 204, problem 6 on page 214 of the text, and problem 2b,c on page 122 of the activity manual.

Due Thursday, October 11: Math 7020 Extra Assignment 2 due. Read section 5.4 and do the practice problems. Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problem 5 on pages 224, 225.
