Week 9:

Due Tuesday, October 16: QUIZ on sections 4.3, 4.5, and 5.1. Read section 5.5 and do the practice problems. Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problem 8 on page 225 and problem 6c on page 235.

Due Thursday, October 18: Read section 5.6 and do the practice problems. Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problem 2c on page 245 but find 3 different ways to find the answer (instead of just 2 ways).

Week 10:

Due Tuesday, October 23: Read section 5.7 and do the practice problems. Hand in: (typed, as usual, except for pictures/equations etc.) Problem 23 c,d,e (do a, b but don't hand in) on page 237, problem 4 on page 246 and problem 7 a,b,c,d on page 258 (for part d, don't use FOIL, show the use of the distributive property).
