MATH 7030 students only: to get graduate credit you will need to do an extra project for this course. Your project could consist of several essays, or a longer paper, in which you discuss some aspect of the course material in depth, or in which you relate the course material to your future teaching (e.g., with a discussion of lesson plans). However, other creative ideas could also be acceptable. For example, you might think of a creative way to tie your course project for this course to something you will be doing for one of your other courses. Your project must demonstrate a deeper or more extensive understanding of hte course material than that required for MATH 5030. Please start to brainstorm ideas for your course project. Project proposals (a brief description of what you plan to do) are due February 1. Projects are due on April 24.

I will calculate your course score as follows:

term tests, 19% each 38%
quizes 12%
class participation (see criteria under class work on the course information page) 3%
homework 14%
project 5%
final exam 28%
