Week 11:
Due Tuesday, March 27: Read section 11.2 and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: problems 1 - 5 on pages 493, 494. Hand in: problems 9, 12, and 18 on pages 483 - 488.
Due Thursday, March 29: Read section 11.5 to page 506 and do the practice problems (we will return to sections 11.3, 11.4 later). Do but don't hand in: problems 1 - 5 and 10, 11 on pages 511 - 515.
Week 12:
Due Tuesday, April 3: Read section 11.6 except for the last paragraph and do the practice problems. Do but don't hand in: Problems 1, 2, 3 on pages 518, 519. Hand in: problem 6 on page 494, problems 6 and 7 on pages 513, 514, and problem 3 of the March 29 handout on determining areas -- do just the triangle on the right. This handout is also posted on WebCT on the "Handouts" page.
Due Thursday, April 5: Read section 11.4 and the rest of sections 11.5, 11.6 (the parts that use Cavalieri's principle). Do but don't hand in: problems 1 - 5 on pages 501 - 504. Hand in: Problem 6 on page 504. MATH 7030 students: A rough draft of your project is due April 5.
