Interactive Geometry on the Internet: Exploring Surfaces in Four-Space
Abstract:
Interactive computer graphics and the Internet provide new opportunities
for direct investigation of surfaces in three- and four-dimensional space,
and for presenting fresh insights to our colleagues and students. This
presentation will feature a totally electronic journal for papers that
can't be published on paper, virtual art gallery and library exhibits,
paperless math classes, and the Math Awareness Month interactive poster.
Topics will range from multivariable calculus and differential geometry to
the geometry of characteristic classes.
