The cohomology of Coxeter groups
Abstract: Coxeter groups are well known for
having very pleasing properties. In this talk we show that the mod
two cohomology of finite Coxeter groups is quite nice as well. The
main result is that a map defined by Quillen is an isomorphism. In
practice this means that one can understand the cohomology of these
groups more easily than most. The result is joint work with Jean
Lannes.
