Job Responsibilities include:

  • Notary

  • Assistant to the Undergraduate Coordinator and Associate Department Head

  • Maintain database of undergraduate math majors.

  • Assign advisors for math majors.

  • Course Pre-requisite over-rides.

  • Textbook ordering.

  • Schedule undergraduate and graduate courses in OASIS and coordinate classroom schedules (ASTRA) each semester.

  • Room Scheduling for Boyd Graduate Studies.

  • Handle online undergraduate and graduate course evaluations.

  • Maintain Math Major listserv.

  • Process a variety of student-related forms, including, but not limited to withdrawals, grade changes and late add forms.  

  • Maintain and contribute to the design of Department of Mathematics web site.

  • Assist in coordinating several annual and special events, including annual High School Math Tournament, Cantrell Lecture Series, Math Major Graduation Commencement Reception, Departmental Holiday Party, etc.

  • Coordinate promotional and publication materials, including flyers, brochures, etc.

  • Alumni contact.

  • Coordinate departmental conferences.
