Attendance
Policy:
Daily attendance is required in this class.
Specifically, there are no excused absences Any student missing more than 4
days may be withdrawn from the class, (see midpoint policy)..
Midpoint
Policy:
Tuesday, March 7th is the midpoint of Spring
Semester. Prior to this date you may
withdraw from the course with a `W'. Any
student wishing to withdraw after this date will be assigned a `WF', (this
includes withdrawals due to lack of attendance!).
Grading
Policy:
Tests 1-4: 60%
In-Class: 15%
..Final Exam: 25%.
Policy for make-up of examinations :
There will be no make-up tests during the
Semester. However, if your
final exam score is higher than your lowest test (Test 1-4, or a missed test)
score, then the lowest test score will be replaced with the final exam score.
Final Exam: Thursday, May 4th,
In-Class
Component
Homework will be assigned daily. We will spend some time in class on homework.
If you find you are having trouble completing the assigned exercises make sure
to come to office hours or get help from the regularly scheduled afternoon help
sessions. Remember the best way to keep
up with this class is to be working on the material daily.
I will collect and grade 2-3 assignments per unit.
Late homework will not be accepted, so make sure you keep up with the class
assignments if you must be absent.
