Classroom Etiquette Students must arrive on time to class and must
stay until the end of class. If you have a specific problem with
this, you should let me know. No idle talking in class.
Withdrawals Students may be withdrawn from the class after missing
more than 10% of the class periods; that is, after missing 4 class
periods. If I initiate the withdrawal without your knowledge I will
assign a grade of WF; if you initiate the withdrawal before the
withdrawal deadline, July 11, I will assign a grade of W. Any withdrawal
after the withdrawal deadline, July 11, will result in a grade of
WF.
Adademic Honesty All students are responsible for maintaining the
highest standards of
honesty and integrity in every phase of their academic careers.
The penalties for academic dishonesty are severe and ignorance is
not an acceptable defense. Students should pay particular attention
to sections 5 and 7 of the academic honesty statement at www.uga.edu/ovpi/academic_honesty/culture_honesty.htm
If you have any personal problems which may affect your successfully
completing this course you must communicate them with me as soon
as you encounter them rather than waiting until the end of the semester
after you may have failed the course.
