MATH 2200 L Syllabus for Spring 2004

Office Hr: M 10:20pm ~11:20pm and T 3:30pm ~ 4:30pm.

Grading Policy: Your grade will be given according to your projects and quizzes. There will be 2 quizzes this semester.

When I grade your project, I am focusing on your reasonable mathematical explanations and investigations. You need to be careful not to just simply mention what you are doing for this project .

 

I do not take any late project.

You do your project based on the manual and my extra instruction which I will post on webct you before you start each project.

(Topics can be adjusted according to the time schedule.)

• Definition of the Derivative
• Home mortgage
• Tangent Lines
• Second Quiz on the Tangent Lines
• Newton’s Method
• Power Line Through the Park
• Parametric Equations
• Implicit Plots and Derivatives

 

Students will submit their project through webct email.
Students should check their webct at least once before the class.

 

Attendance Policy:

Students may miss 2 classes without penalty.

Students who miss more than two classes must make up for those classes.

If they do not make up, they will have their grade lowered by one letter grade.

 

Academic Honesty:

You may work together but you must write your own reports with your own words.
