Grading Guidelines

Introduction

Tests 1-3    : 60%

Quizzes      : 15%

Final Exam : 25%

 A=90-100, B=80-89, C=70-79, D=60-69, F=below 60.

Attendance

Attendance: Daily attendance is strongly suggested. Any student with 3 of fewer absences for the semester will be allowed the option of having their final exam score replace their lowest test score.

You may use a TI-86 or below model calculator on most exams.

Test 2         : Friday, Mar. 25th

Test 3         : Wednesday, Apr. 20th

Final Exam : Fri., May 6th, 8-11 a.m. for 3rd period and Mon., May 9th, 12-3 p.m. for 4th period.

 

Test dates for Test 1-3 are tentative and will be finalized during class.

 Test 3            : Sections 4.2 - 4.7

 Final Exam   : Above sections, 5.2, 8.3.

Introduction

As a general rule I do not accept late homework, nor do I give make-up quizzes or exams. Quizzes will be announced so there is no need for one to arbitrarily miss class on quiz days. If you have a legitimate emergency, please contact the Office of Student Affairs. Student Affairs can verify your situation and will provide your professors with this verification.
