Tournament
Every year in October, the UGA Department
of Mathematics and Math Club
hold an annual High School Varsity Math Tournament on the UGA campus,
to foster the mathematical education in Georgia and neighboring
states. To

The
2009 tournament was held on Saturday, October 17th.
2008 UGA High School Math Tournament
Career Fair
Each
fall, Math Department faculty visit a local elementary school to
speak with students about career opportunities in mathematics. This
year's Career Fair at Barrow Elementary School was coordinated by
Ruth Elizabeth Conine. If you are interested in having UGA faculty speak
at your school about opportunities in the mathematical sciences, please
contact Tamara Haag at tamara@math.uga.edu.

2008 Career Fair was held on Tuesday, December 9th from 8:30 -
12:00 at Barrow Elementary School.
