VRG Proposal Expectations

Faculty Guidelines for the Submission of VRG Proposals Faculty should propose a VRG in the fall preceding the academic year in which the VRG will run. We would like enough information to be able to advertise the VRG meaningfully to students and to count possible participants. One of our top priorities is to propose a slate of VIGRE groups which will attract the 5 students needed to run. We also seek to ensure a reasonable diversity of subject areas.

VRG leaders will be expected to supply a brief but substantive description of their group for posting on the VIGRE website. Moreover, during the year that a VRG is run, the VRG should maintain an individual website which documents the groups research activities and accomplishments. This group website will be linked to the main VIGRE website.
