Information about our textbook from the author:  Students who will take math 5002 in the next 2 semesters, i.e., in the spring of 2007 or in the fall of 2007,  will be using the current 1st edition book (which they will also use in math 5003, even though a new edition will also be available).

Students who will take math 5002 in the spring of 2008 or later, will be using the 2nd edition.  In this case, they could sell their books at the end of this semester since this book will be used for math 5001, 5002, 5003 next semester.
