Teaching
Currently (spring semester 2008) I'm teaching Math 4400/6400, Number Theory, and a section of Math 2200, Analytic Geometry and Calculus. Here is a link to other courses I've taught at UGA.
Research interests:
Number theory, arithmetic geometry, with an
emphasis on explicit methods;
currently, the Brauer-Manin obstruction
on K3 surfaces and connections with genus-2 curves
Here is a link to the web page of Pete Clark's VIGRE seminar, in which I'm
participating this year. The topic is "Computations on CM Elliptic Curves"--specifically CM elliptic curves over number fields
and their torsion subgroups.
Papers
Tate-Shafarevich groups and K3 surfaces, submitted.
The Brauer-Manin obstruction on Del Pezzo
surfaces of degree 2, Proc. London Math. Soc. 95 (2007), no. 3, 735-777.
Del Pezzo surfaces and
the Brauer-Manin obstruction, Ph.D. thesis, U.C. Berkeley, 2005.
Del Pezzo surfaces of
degree 6, Math. Res. Lett. 12 (2005), no. 1, 75-84.
Slides
Del Pezzo surfaces and the Brauer-Manin
obstruction, slides from an invited talk I gave at a
special session of the AMS in analytic number theory and modular
forms in November 2006.
