Grading:

Your score will be computed as follows:

Homework:  5%, Quizzes:  10%, 6 Tests:  60%, Final Exam: 25%, others 10%.

Notes: the other 10% of your grades is depended on your quizzes and your attendance.

Academic Honesty

All students are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of honesty

and integrity in every phase of their academic careers. The penalties for

academic dishonesty is severe and ignorance is not an acceptable defense.

Students should pay particular attention to sections 5 and 7 of the academic

honesty statement at www.uga.edu/ovpi/academic_honesty/culture_honesty.htm

Attendance Policy

Your attendance will strongly affect the remaining 10% of your grade. No more than 10 time excused or non-excused absences are allowed. On your 11th absence, you will get a W or WF (WF if after midpoint).

How to succeed in this class (Most important)

  1. 90% of your scores are dependent on the computer work: homework, test and final. So be very familiar with how to use JExam before you go into the testroom. How? Do the practice test again and again. Warning! Even if you know how to do the problem, it doesn’t mean you can put the right answer in the  JExam due to the wrong format of your answer.
  2. Where do the questions of your test and final exam come from? Test bank.  If you do the practice test for enough times, you will encounter all the problems in the test bank.
  3. Attendance. Attendance can not determine whether you get A or F. But it definitely can affect whether you get B or A in the end.
