I picked up an instrument--trombone-- for the first time at the age of 10, I guess. My Dad didn't like it for some reason. At 13, a friend of my father’s was staying in our house for a few months, and he taught me to play the guitar once or twice. I have felt in love with the classical guitar since then.

I studied the guitar by myself, but received a few lessons from a few good teachers all of whom gave me a good lesson for development of musicality. At Kangwon National University, as an undergraduate student, I joined the "guitar circle" where I learned a lot and enjoyed playing together with other people. I participated in many concerts where I played Bach's Chaconne, Sonata#2 for Viola da Gamba, and more.
