Week 9:

Due Tuesday, Oct 12: There will be a quiz on sections 5.1 - 5.6.

Due Thursday, Oct 14: Read section 5.7 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in on Tuesday 10/19): problem 7 on page 196. [Will it be easier for you to have homework due on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays so that you have the weekend? I'm assuming yes. Le me know.]

Week 10:

Due Tuesday, Oct 19: Read section 5.8 and do the practice problems. Hand in: problem 7 on page 196, problem 4 on page 205, and problem 10 on page 206.

Office hours Wednesday 10/20 moved to 12:30 - 1:30 pm.

Due Thursday, Oct 21: Read section 5.9 and do the practice problems. Do (to be handed in next Tuesday): problem 7 on page 217. We will have a quiz on Tuesday 10/26 covering sections 5.7 - 5.9.
