Due date 2/15: (3% of course score) Observe at least 2 mathematics lessons (these can be the same lessons you observe for EMAT 3400). Focusing on the mathematics content (as opposed to organizational or managerial aspects of the lesson), describe and discuss at least 2 different aspects of the lessons that you found interesting. These could be problems students worked on, the way a student or the teacher presented a mathematical idea, a student's error or misconception, an interesting solution method, or other mathematical aspects of the lessons that stood out to you.

Due date 3/27: (3% of course score) Based on your interview with a child for EMAT 3400, and based on how mathematics progresses, write a set of at least 3 specific mathematics problems or activities that are appropriate for the child to work on now. Explain why you chose those problems or activities.

Due date 4/12: (3% of course score) Use the activity for the third portion of your EMAT 3400 field assignment. Focusing on the mathematics content (as opposed to organizational or managerial aspects of your activity), describe and discuss at least 2 different aspects of your activity that you found interesting. These could be problems students worked on, the way a student presented a mathematical idea, a student's error or misconception, an interesting solution method, something that worked especially well or not well, or other mathematical aspects of the activity that stood out to you.
