To get graduate credit you will need to do extra assignments in addition to completing
all the MATH 5001 coursework. Additional assignments will be due every few
weeks and will be posted below. As with the regular MATH 5001 assignments, your
solutions must be typed and you must explain your reasoning. Problems will be
graded according to the criteria for MATH 5001 assignments.

Problem 20 on page 108, problems 22, 23 on page 122, and problem 8 a, b on page
138.

assignment 2, instructions on revising and resubmitting up to 2 problems: Please hand in your
original work together with your revisions of up to 2 problems. For additional
credit on problem 20 on page 108, just revise part c. If you revise problem 22
on page 122, note that the cucumbers originally weigh 200 pounds and of this
200 pounds, 99% is water. For problem 23 on page 122, no brand A cans are
removed or added.
