were for additional points on the quiz. Hand in your revisions together with
your original quiz paper.
For this quiz revision you should not discuss answers with anyone.

volume. Be sure to know how to do all the practice problems.
No office hours Thursday due
to the annual meeting of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics in San
Diego.
Due Friday,
April 23: Class will not
meet on Friday. Instead, please do the following (either your own or with a
group of classmates). Do lessons 2.1, 2.2 on pages 22 – 25 of the
ÒStretching and ShrinkingÓ Connected Mathematics 2 book. Take a look at lesson
2.3 on pages 25 - 27 (you do not have to do lesson 2.3). Do the reflections on
page 37. Then write (1) a comment on what mathematical idea(s) you would need
to attend to or highlight if you taught the lessons, and (2) a comment or two
on what might be interesting or what might be challenging if you taught these
lessons. All notes and comments may be hand written. Hand the notes and
comments in on Monday. Scans of the full set of pages for the lessons are
