Solving Polynomial Systems by Homotopy Continuation Methods
Abstract:
Solving polynomial systems is very common in many fields of science and
engineering, such as robot kinematics, chemical reactions, economic
modeling, neural network, computer vision, etc.
During the last two decades, homotopy continuation methods have proven
to be reliable and efficient to compute numerical approximations
to all isolated zeros of polynomial systems.
In this talk, we will introduce basic ideas of solving polynomial
systems by homotopy continuation methods.
