You can get Wi-Fi access pretty much everywhere on the UGA campus with a visitor password. The login information will be made available at the beginning of the conference.
Wiki
We've set up a conference wiki page that you can use to find roommates, share rental cars, carpool or anything else.
The campus bus system is a convenient and free way to get around campus. During the first three days of the conference these are on the "Intersession" schedule, running from 7am to 7pm. The Red Route travels from the arch (across Broad from Starbucks) to the math department (where the talks will be) every 20 minutes, starting at 7:20am.
There is a parking deck next to the Georgia Center; park and then ask the organizers for passes. After 5pm and on Saturday and Sunday you can park in the lots adjacent to Boyd at no cost.
We traditionally plan a canoe trip down the Broad River on Friday afternoon. We will rent canoes for $15/person from Broad River Outpost which is located about 20 miles north of Athens After the canoe trip we will figure out some sort of activity involving Zeb's barbeque.
Another way to see the countryside, without getting wet, is to drive about 30 minutes south to Madison (the city that Sherman refused to burn). If you walk along smaller back streets, you'll find lots of beautiful homes.

There has been an annual topology conference at the University of Georgia since 1961. Every eight years, we hold a large two-week conference. The last of these was in 2009 so I'm afraid you'll have to wait a while for the next one.
We get a huge amount of help running this conference from our staff, Julie McEver, Connie Poore, Gail Suggs, Laura Ackerley, and Christy McDonald. The scope of their contributions goes far beyond any reasonable job description, and running this conference without their help simply would not be possible.
If you have any questions just send an email to David Gay.
