Bounds on nef cones
Abstract: The nef cone of a projective variety is a very important
invariant. In this talk I will tell about joint work with
Diane Maclagan in which we define cones that bound nef cones of
certain varieties. I'll define these upper and lower bounds and
I'll spend more than half of the time giving examples relating
our picture to conjectures of Cox and Katz for toric
hypersurfaces and Fulton for the moduli space of curves.
