Grading policy:

Quizzes                         10%

Three Tests                  60% (20 % each)

Final Exam                    30%

 

 

Tests (Tentative dates):         Test 1   Tuesday, January 28

                                                Test 2   Thursday, February 28

                                                Test 3   Thursday, April 17

No calculators will be allowed on quizzes, tests or final exam.

 

Final Exam: Monday May 5, 7:00 - 10:00 pm

 

Quizzes: There will be quizzes during the last 10-15 minutes every Tuesday starting January 21 (unless we have a test that day). Quizzes will be based on Homework assigned. I am not going to collect and grade homework. We will be able to discuss some of the problems in class. Two worst quiz grades will be dropped.

 

Attendance Policy: After 5 absences, a student can be withdrawn with a WF grade. A student must initiate the process in order to get a W prior to the withdrawal due date (March 7).

 

Make-up Policy: There will be no make-up quizzes or tests. However, in case of an excused and officially verified absence, the average of the other two tests will be counted instead of the missed test.
