The 2023 Kossack Prize calculus exam will be given on Saturday-Sunday April 1,2. The exam will be online this year. It will be given on elc using lockdown browser.

The awards for the top three finishers will consist of certificates and modest cash prizes (totaling about $300), to be presented at the Mathematics Department Awards Day on April  18 2023

The Department of Mathematics is extremely proud to recognize and congratulate Assistant Professor Dr. Akram Alishahi on her recent award of the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER grant, for a total of $550,000 over five years. This award supports her ambitious research program in low-dimensional topology and related algebraic invariants.

Math department’s academic advisor, Kestrina Shrestha, is the recipient of this years UGA Outstanding New Academic Advisor Award.

Kestrina will now go forward as UGA's nominee for the national NACADA Outstanding New Academic Advisor Award.
