PEER LEADERS NEEDED!
The Mathematics Department is looking for bright young leaders to lead
in-class recitations for MATH 1113 – Pre-Calculus for the SPRING 2017 term.
- Full-time status as a UGA undergraduate student.
- A grade of B or better in either Math 1113, Math 2250, or Math 2260. If you did not take any of these courses at UGA, then let me know. Strong applicants may have this requirement waived.
A representative from Wolfram will give this talk.
This technical talk will show live calculations in Mathematica 11 and other Wolfram technologies relevant to courses and research. Specific topics include:
Every year, UGA Department of Mathematics and Math Club hold an annual High School Varsity Math Tournament on the UGA campus, to foster the mathematical education in Georgia and neighboring states. The tournament consists of three challenging rounds: ciphering, written and team collaboration.
The 2016 tournament will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
