The Math Department offers Math 1113 as a class that meets five days a week for two hours. These sections provide an opportunity to gain more familiarity with the topics and also allows you to get aid that is specific to your needs.
The Georgia Algebraic Geometry Symposium is a conference series, jointly organized by the University of Georgia, Emory University and Georgia Tech. The next GAGS conference will be held at the University of Georgia on Fri-Sat-Sun March 3-5, 2017.
Topological Approaches to Algebra and Arithmetic Geometry (TAAAG) is a 3 day workshop run for graduate students and early career mathematicians, as a part of the The AGANT (Algebraic Geometry, Algebra and Number Theory) Research and Training Group at the University of Georgia Mathematics Department, and funded by NSF grant DMS-1344994.
The Georgia Summer Workshop In Algebraic Geometry will be an instructional program for graduate students and young PhDs with a focus on the topic "Moduli spaces of sheaves and their enumerative geometry." We will have at least four speakers each deliver 2 lectures on a topic of their choice related to the focus of the workshop, where the first talk is very introductory. We also plan to have other speakers give one hour talks.
