Homework.

The homework system we use is ALEKS. You should log in to ALEKS through the link on your course web page on ELC. Before you can do any homework you must first complete the first knowledge check. You will have to answer a number of questions, and the system will then determine how many review problems will be necessary to meet the standards for this class.

ALEKS Tips.

You must log in to ALEKS using the link on your course ELC page.  You will be asked for the access key that is in your book. If you do not have a book yet you can request financial aid which will give you access to ALEKS, but you will eventually have to purchase access.

ALEKS is an adaptive system. If you miss a problem it will decide that you will need extra practice on the topic. You should not just try to make a small change to your answer and hope you get it right. You should make every effort before each submission to make sure your answer is correct.

Test Information

Exams will take place in class. The exam dates should be listed in your syllabus. You should discuss any accommodations with your instructor and all accommodations must be properly documented and prepared in advance.

The course has a common final exam. The exam takes place at the same time as the calculus final exam. The schedule is available with the University calendar. The location for you exam will be announced in class by your instructor when it becomes available.

Makeup Exams

You can take a make up for an exam only if you arrange for the make up in advance. You must discuss this with your instructor well before the exam. The exam dates should be listed in your syllabus.
